As the world anticipates the containment of COVID and the post-coronavirus economic recovery, there is a rising call not just to build back to where we were before the pandemic, but to build back better. There are great expectations about what the future could be. We know the world has to achieve net zero carbon by 2050, and the economic recovery will be a springboard for demonstrating cleaner, greener technologies. We have seen enormous value creation by digital technologies and whole new categories of solutions that reduce waste. Circular Economy solutions are gaining traction with new business models and local manufacturing demonstrations that deliver local economic benefits.
